Wolfgang Bringman is an expert on LLLT with a focus on low-level laser therapy in orthopaedics, traumatology, and sports medicine. Numerous publications on the scientific research of LLLT (including the basic textbook on LLLT in the German-speaking countries: Low-Level-Lasertherapie - Licht kann heilen [Low-Level Laser Therapy: Light Can Heal]), international lecturer on LLLT.
Wolfgang Bringmann is a specialist in general medicine and sports medicine. In 1968 he was appointed chief physician of the Main Sports Medicine Counselling Centre in Neubrandenburg and Berlin. In 1979 he earned the degree of professor, and in 1981 became a university professor at the Charité Hospital.
On the side he served as editor-in-chief of the magazine Medizin und Sport until 1991, and from 1991 until 1998 as editor of Deutsche Zeitschrift für Sportmedizin in Cologne. Since 1985 he has lectured at a professional school for physiotherapy in Berlin, where he also still runs his general medical practice.
Wolfgang Bringmann has published more than 250 scientific articles on disease prevention, sports medicine and sports traumatology as well as on subjects related to low-level laser therapy.
Since 1990 his special interest has been directed at the scientific bases and practical application of low-level laser therapy. His fundamental work, Low-Level-Laser-Therapie: Licht kann heilen, whose 7th revised edition he is currently preparing, appeared as early as 1998.
